Gearing up for the next show

by Fat 7. decembris 2015 01:18

Yeah, right... Our next show will take place on Saturday, 12 December 2015, and we will be sharing the stage with Flying Fish, which means our guitarist Quizz who plays in both bands will have a far busier night than the rest of us.

Two things have to be said about the upcoming gig. First: it's dedicated to a web serial project titled "Traces of Nowhere", produced, written and direced by Flying Fish's own Dmitry Rumyantsev; watch the first episode, featuring Holy Lamb's Aigars and Ansis as cops, here. Second: the wait for "Gyrosophy", the fourth Holy Lamb album, is officially over! As the web release date coincides with that of the show, we will actually "publish" the album on the internet during the event! A detailed news bit about "Gyrosophy" is to follow shortly, so stay tuned and come along to "A Nice Place" next Saturday if you're in Rīga!

HL to perform at the RockUp festival Saturday, 8 August

by Fat 2. jūlijs 2015 22:20

On 8 August 2015, Holy Lamb will make their first Latvian festival appearance in years! It is called RockUp and there's a dedicated website in Latvian with details on all the performers, all of them wonderful Latvian rock/blues bands and artists; the festival also has its own Facebook page.

In light of the upcoming festival, which will take place at a nice countryside camping site some 40 kilometres away from Rīga, this Sunday (5 July) at midnight HL keyboardist Juris and bassist/vocalist Aigars will be having a friendly chat with the organizer of the event who also happens to be the host of a Radio Naba programme titled Partitūra. To complement the chat, a couple of tracks from the band's new album, Gyrosophy, will be premiered, so feel free to tune in if interested.

Best,
HL

Expect new video footage from HL soon!

It's been a while again since the last time we posted anything on our website. Yeah, it remained offline for several months last year, but now it's back with some good news.

First and foremost, we have to say that the recording sessions for our new album 'Gyrosophy' were completed last November, then the whole thing went off to Mr Mehmet Ugur Memis in Ankara, Turkey, who is currently working on the mixdown likely soon to be over. The artwork for the album is also in the making, so we had this idea to break the silence before it breaks itself. :) Right, we spent a few hours shooting a video in February in our very own rehearsal studio, and we are looking forward to sharing the result with you some time later this spring.

Here's a couple of pics taken by our guitarist/mastermind Ansis Markauss that night were setting up the lighting stuff and cameras.

November Gigs and more

by Fat 5. novembris 2011 05:49

It's getting colder outside so we've been keeping the flame alive. In other words, there has been quite some activity in the Holy Lamb camp. What we've got here is a new logo (the round thing on the right) and a whole new set of promo pictures taken by our long-time friend Muffin.

That's not all, though. We've been invited to perform at The Skys official CD release and birthday party in Vilnius on 11 November (the New York Club is the venue for that). Apart from The Skys and ourselves, the other acts include Appleseed from Poland, Bliuzoholikai from Lithuania, and Il Castello di Atlante from Italy. The next day, 12 November, Holy Lamb and The Skys will travel to Rīga where the two bands will be joined by Latvian fellows Toms Londons at Nabaklab, a nice club in the old town. The Rīga show will be a double celebration of 'Baltic prog' as The Skys will be presenting their new album, Colours of the Desert, to the Rīga crowd and Holy Lamb will light 20 candles on the band's birthday cake!

See you soon...........
